There will be no charge for your initial consultation with me but from that point on you will be charged an hourly fee; check with me for current rates. I do not charge for the time in-transit to a research site, but I do charge mileage costs if I am visiting a repository specifically for you and not as part of my normal research schedule. You should expect to pay not only for research time but also for time spent analyzing your records and in creating your reports.

Among the items that you will be billed for (and that will be itemized on your invoice) are:

Analysis of your records
Genealogical research
Search fees for libraries, courthouses, etc.
Costs for Birth, Marriage and Death Records
Writing reports
Long Distance Phone calls
Travel expenses and field research
Photography
Postage
Copy costs
Presentation report covers, binders etc
